Roman Catholic Archbishops
Roman Catholic archbishops have no claim to territorial titles or to the use of the salutations 'Your Grace' or 'My Lord', and such modes of address are not permitted in official documents. However, unofficially and within the Roman Catholic community, these styles are in common usage.
The recommendations below reflect the official modes of address. In conversation the term 'Your Grace' is frequently used.
How to Address the Archbishops of Armagh and Dublin
The recommended (social) style of address is as follows:

| Envelope | The Most Rev the Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of All Ireland; The Most Rev the Archbishop of Dublin and Primate of Ireland |

| Description in conversation | His Grace or The Archbishop of Armagh/Dublin |
| List of Directors or Patrons | The Most Rev the Archbishop of Armagh/Dublin |
| Place card | The Archbishop of Armagh/Dublin |
| Signature | The Archbishop of Armagh signs himself Alan Armagh, and the Archbishop of Dublin signs himself John Dublin. |
How to Address a Retired Roman Catholic Archbishop
As above, but the envelope would read The Most Rev Archbishop Smith.?
