Isle of Wight 2014 will provide an intriguing mix of big names, the best of young British jazz artists and some established favourites. Programme detail are still to be announced.
Stroller tickets offer an eclectic mix of big bands, trios, vocalists and jazz DJs throughout the weekend. Many of these events take place in the jazz village, a combination of outdoor and indoor stages located at East Dean, the former home of the poet Algernon Swinburne. The house is surrounded by 10 acres of grounds, which roll gently down to the sea at Monk's bay.
The main concerts take place in the Spiegel Theater. Inspired by the spiegeltent in which Marlene Dietrich performed, this is a glamorous confection of polished wooden floors, mirrors, lights, and sumptuous velvets.
