York Mystery Plays

13.07.14 - 20.07.14
Museum Gardens, York

Following the successful return of the York Mystery Plays in 2012, they will return to the stage in September 2013 for another major production.

2013 will see a co-production between York Theatre Royal, Pilot Theatre Company and a Leeds based theatre company called Slung Low Theatre.

Mike Kenny, the Olivier award winning playwright, will once again write the script, focusing on the Chocolate Heritage in York, following a story through three generations- WWI, WWII and into the modern day.

The audience will sail down the Ouse on a 300-400 seat boat to view the action. They will be audition for a strong, large cast in early Spring 2013, with more ticket and event information to be detailed nearer the time.

Dates for the event are provisional.
