Cannes Film Festival

14.05.14 - 25.05.14
Cannes, France

Red carpets, palm trees, stars of the silver screen and their attendant paparazzi - the world's most famous film festival brings added glitter to one of the most chic resort towns in the south of France.

Now going strong for more than 60 years, Cannes is one of the world's longest-running film festivals, as well as one of the most influential. It is focused around the 'Official Selection', which includes 20 films competing for the coveted Palme d'Or.

Thousands of films are screened over the 12 days, some with a small number of tickets available to the public.

Otherwise, there's plenty of stargazing to be enjoyed at the 2014?Cannes Film Festival, as well as the Cinéma de la Plage, with performances of film music and showings of Cannes classics and non-competition films on Macé beach.
