The Cheltenham Festival of Literature offers events involving more than 400 writers and other speakers over ten days in October.
New theatre and visual arts displays are also on the programme, plus street performances around the Regency town. Comedy and children's events are particularly strong.
In 2013 the Cheltenham Festival of Literature will be celebrating its 64th anniversary.
Highlights of the 2013 Festival will include appearances from Mary Berry, Sebastian Faulks, Alison Steadman, a special celebration of the works and life of PG Wodehouse, Phillippa Gregory and the shortlisted writers from the Man Booker Prize 2013.
