Metropolitan Opera Season

23.09.13 - 18.06.14
Lincoln Center, New York

The opening of the 2013-2014 season at the Metropolitan Opera is a glamorous night, rich with the promise of a star-studded winter of world-class opera.

In 2008 the Metropolitan Opera celebrated its 125th anniversary season. It has been located at the Lincoln Center for Performing Arts since September 1966, when a new opera house opened, equipped with outstanding technical facilities.

World-class conductors - from Toscanini, to Bruno Walter, George Szell and Fritz Reiner - have taken the podium at the Met. It has also seen the American premieres of some of the most important works in the repertory.

Each season the Met stages over 200 opera performances in New York.

The 2013-14 season programme is now available on the Metropolitan Opera website, with the opening night taking place on September 23rd, with a production of Eugene Onegin.
