Fans in Dublin will be cheering on their side when they meet the Irish visitors for a lunchtime match starting at 1.30pm.
The Aviva Stadium has a seated capacity of 50,000. All seating in the stadium is under cover, although the roof does not extend over the pitch. The stadium consists of a continuous curvilinear shaped stand enclosing all four sides of the ground.
The design has been optimised to ensure all spectators have an excellent view of the pitch while retaining the unique Lansdowne Road atmosphere.
Space for the redevelopment was created by realigning the pitch and by creating a new access podium over the railway line, allowing spectators access the stadium at premium seat level.
The original Lansdowne Road stadium was opened in 1876, and though it was conceived as a multi-sport venue, it soon became synonymous with Irish rugby.
