Camp Bestival

31.07.14 - 03.08.14
Lulworth Castle, Dorset

Camp Bestival is known as the 'baby sister' festival to the multi-award winning Bestival. With just 15,000 tickets on sale it's a compact, non-daunting prospect for families and festival-lovers alike.

As well as a great array of headline acts, this child-friendly event also features a host of other entertainment including dance, theatre, circus and kids' shows.

The main arena, Castle Field, is set against the stunning backdrop of Lulworth Castle. There is also a Kid's Garden, where little terrors can run around to their heart's content, the Magic Meadow and the Kid's Circus Field.

There are three types of camping field: you can reserve family-size plots at Camping Plus, hire tents in the Tangerine Fields, or treat yourself to beautiful tips and yurts, or even a gypsy caravan. And if the camping all gets too much you can always repair to The Pamper Lounge for a footsoak or facial.

As if this wasn't enough, you will find yourself with Dorset's magnificent Jurassic coast on your doorstep. Whether it's sea-bathing at Lulworth Cove, an old-fashioned day at the seaside at Swanage, or a bracing walk along the magnificent cliffs, you can't fail to enjoy this outstanding area of natural beauty.

The theme of the 2013 Festival is 'All Around the World'. Highlights of the programme include headline appearances from Richard Hawley and Labrinth; the Horrible Histories team will be entertaining and educating young and old alike and comedian Alan Davies will make his first appearance at the festival.
