Supplier Diversity Program

The Aerospace Corporation does no manufacturing, nor does it offer products for sale. It does occasionally produce prototypes, some of which go on to be produced by for-profit companies

Supplier Relations

The Aerospace Corporation strives to approach supplier relationships as alliances. This alliance influences the success of our research programs. The Aerospace Corporation actively encourages and seeks to utilize eligible business concerns participating in Federal Small Business Programs as designated in Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 19:

  • Small
  • Veteran-Owned
  • Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned
  • HUBZone
  • Small-Disadvantaged
  • Women-Owned
  • Other small socioeconomic concerns

Procurement is centrally located at our El Segundo, Calif., facility. Our procurement personnel may consider multiple factors such as business experience, financial stability, technical qualifications, price, and delivery when awarding subcontracts. Suppliers are encouraged to present innovative ideas and technologies, while continuing to emphasize price, performance, quality, and delivery.

Procurement Authority

The Procurement Department will conduct and conclude all negotiations and has the sole authority to commit funds for purchases and to authorize the commencement of work. Nonprocurement employees may contact suppliers to discuss technical or budgetary information. Suppliers are advised that such discussions are not to be construed as a purchase commitment.

Suppliers are encouraged to complete the supplier profile page and attach any additional marketing literature to be considered for future opportunities. Program managers, engineering, research, information technology, and procurement staff members may access profile and literature information for the purpose of identifying capable small businesses for current and future requirements.

Please be sure to include the following:

  • Federal Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN)
  • North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) six-digit codes
  • Keyword description
  • Additional marketing literature (Note: Word, PowerPoint, or PDF formats only)

Our Small Business Office typically responds via email within four weeks after receipt and review of capabilities. Simply returning the profile does not guarantee that you will receive solicitations for bids. The sheer number of potential suppliers prohibits circulating solicitations to every supplier listed under a particular commodity or service.

Thank you for your interest in The Aerospace Corporation. Should you have any questions or require further information, you may contact our Small Business Liaison Officer at 310.336.1918, and submit the Supplier Profile form and literature via email to: [email protected]. Please do not place the Small Business Office on automatic mailing lists; the mailbox is only monitored for Profiles.
