Each athlete from the Krasnodar Territory who wins a gold medal at the Sochi Olympics will get 2 million rubles from the local budget, the press service of the territory's governor said.
The cost efficiency scheme that state-controlled hydroelectric power producer RusHydro used when investing budgetary funds in thermal power projects in the Russian Far East should be strongly recommended for all other energy projects in the country, a law and energy expert told RIA Novosti.
Speaking at a teleconference, Deputy Chairman of the RysHydro Management Board George Rizhinashvili said that the company may pay a quarter of its net profit in 2013 as dividends under the Russian Accounting Standards (RAS).
In January-September 2013, RusHydro posted 14.8 billion ruble profits in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), in contrast with the losses incurred a year ago, corporate documents note.
Russia’s Main Directorate for State Environmental Expertise has approved the estimated budget for the second stage of construction of the Blagoveshchensk Power Plant, the Public Relations Department of RAO Eastern Energy Systems, an affiliate of the RusHydro hydropower holding, reported in a statement.
The scheme was approved by the Russian Government this November and included the Sakhalin State District Power Station No. 2 and the Yakutian State District Power Station No. 2.
On December 3, Birobidzhan hosted a meeting of the Government Commission on Flood Relief in the Far East, whose participants discussed the restoration of the local energy infrastructure after a major flood in the Russian Far East.
Last year, the Russian Government increased RusHydro capitalization by 50 billion rubles for the company to build four new heat-generation facilities.
On instructions from the Russian leadership, RusHydro is building four new power generating facilities in the Russian Far East, including the first stage of the Sakhalin state regional power station No 2.
