Highlights:

Thursday, March 27:

  • Morning, Full-Day, and afternoon workshops ranging from unit & lesson design to communicative Latin, from differentiating in early language classrooms to grammar & proficiency, from groups & games to writing the ACTFL-CAEP report! Offered by the profession’s most talented and committed presenters!
  • Afternoon meeting of our NECTFL region state association leaders!
  • Evening conference kick-off activities -- "speed dating" a new language (Hindi, Turkish, Yoruba, and more) or learning a new dance!

Friday, March 28:

  • All day long: Outstanding sessions for teachers of all languages and levels.
  • The Exhibit Areas, the Silent Auction, and the Wall of Recognition.
  • Evening: A celebration of our award winners and a reception for all attendees! 

Saturday, March 29:

  • All day long: Even more diverse and exciting sessions.
  • Time to visit the Exhibit Areas, the Wall of Recognition, and the Silent Auction.
  • Morning: NADSFL breakfast and presentation!
  • Noon hour.:NECTFL Advisory Council annual meeting, a delicious luncheon hosted by ACTFL, and the election of our new Board members!

Sunday, March 30:

  • Morning: Hands-on, interactive, teaching labs where participants created materials and acquired practical ideas to implement in their classrooms.

  • 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.: Registration open
  • 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.: SANS, Inc.,/Mead Fellows seminar (by invitation)
  • 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.: 3- and 6-hr. workshops $
  • 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.: Meeting with the States (by invitation)
  • 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.: Kick-off activities ("speed date" a new language, learn about events in Boston, sample activities, meet new colleagues!)

Friday, March 28

  • 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.: Registration open
  • 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.: Grand Opening of Exhibit Areas
  • 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.: Exhibit Area, Silent Auction, Wall of Recognition open
  • 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.: 60-minute sessions (over 100 choices throughout the day!)
  • 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.: Awards Ceremony and Reception (open to all!)

Saturday, March 29

  • 7:00 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.: Past Chairs’ Meeting (by invitation)
  • 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.: Registration, Wall of Recognition, and Silent Auction open
  • 7:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.: NADSFL Meeting/Breakfast (members only)
  • 8:00 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.: Grand re-opening of Exhibit Areas
  • 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.: Exhibit Areas open
  • 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.: 60-minute sessions (over 100 choices throughout the day!)
