The SIECUS State Profiles represents the most complete portrait ever assembled of sexuality education and abstinence-only-until-marriage programs in the United States. The SIECUS State Profiles Fiscal Year 2012 Edition includes an individual profile for all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the other U.S. Territories. It is intended to serve as a guide and major resource for advocates, educators, policymakers, public health professionals, parents, youth, and community stakeholders across the country who are working to advance more comprehensive approaches to sexuality education and eliminate harmful abstinence-only-until-marriage programs. This tenth edition includes information from federal Fiscal Year 2012, which began on October 1, 2011 and ended on September 30, 2012. This publication will be updated periodically.
