The Bishop of London is always a privy counsellor and accordingly is addressed as ‘The Right Reverend and Right Honourable’. When the Bishop of London retires he is addressed as any other retired diocesan bishop, except that as a privy counsellor he retains the aforesaid designation ‘The Rt Hon’ (so his description does not change).
