The designer Thakoon Panichugal talked about two things at his resort presentation: cake frosting and the recent Fred Wilson show at the Pace Gallery in New York. What he showed were pretty jacquard dresses with acidic pastel stripes, a number of leather and silk mash-ups, a series of longer, more fluid floral pieces (jumpsuit included) and this look: a Caribbean blue dress with an elastic waist, deep V and sporty, perforated sleeves. (In black it was quite edgy and architectural.)
