Jason Wu focused on nature and its interaction with man for resort. Taking cues from the artist Mike Libby, who is best known for making bugs and beetles from old watch parts, Wu created an insect-inspired palette rich in tropical greens and corals. An oversize botanical print tee bloomed over a pair of pin-thin white trousers with a black waistband — ideal for gardening with the C.Z. Guest crowd. Contrasting the prim and pretty pieces Wu is known for were electric blue leather separates: a motorcycle jacket, a pencil skirt with an exposed zipper. Flourishing alongside these were a bevy of evening looks, including a black crystal embroidered dress and a peekaboo black and cream jersey top over a navy sheer skirt. This sporty crochet striped bikini with matching boy shorts and color-blocked backpack is destined for a trip to Turks and Caicos, where Wu is headed as soon as the season closes.
