South Carolina: Man Gets 50 Years for Molesting Over 20 Children

A graduate of The Citadel who went on to work with children there and at other schools and served as a foster parent pleaded guilty to 22 counts of child sexual abuse and was sentenced to 50 years in prison on Wednesday. The man, Louis ReVille, 32, who was arrested in October after an investigation revealed he molested more than 20 children he taught and coached in the Charleston area, apologized to his victims. Some are suing the institutions that hired him, including The Citadel, a military college. Victims have claimed that The Citadel knew Mr. ReVille molested teenagers at a camp in 2002, luring boys into his room with the promise of pizza and Chinese food and then showing them pornography and encouraging group masturbation sessions. The college, which investigated the complaint but did not report it to police, apologized.
