I'm a Celeb: Mel Sykes hits out at Vicki Michelle as hunger takes hold
By Catriona Wightman
I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! star Mel Sykes sniped at Vicki Michelle again on tonight's show as the hunger really began to hit her.
Mel, a member of the Wombat tribe, woke up feeling disheartened by the group's bad luck in the challenges so far and things got worse when she discovered that the Galahs were going to be treated to a breakfast.
"I hope we get a proper breakfast as opposed to a little thing," Vicki said excitedly, but the comment did not go down well with Mel.
"I'm going to lose it in a minute," she said as she walked off to the dunny, followed by Nadia Forde.
"It's just hard to listen to Vicki moaning about food all the time," Mel continued. "She hasn't got a clue. I could never be that insensitive.
"I can't even walk up the stairs without getting out of breath and my legs hurting, and I'm strong. I didn't think I'd have this little food. I just want to go now."
Things went from bad to worse as the Wombats discovered that they would be taking part in the Bushtucker Trial.
"I really want to eat some nice food," Mel said. "I just don't know if I can go through the trauma in order to get it. I'll do my best with the strength that I've got, which isn't much.
"I am starving and there might be some nourishment in crushed cockroaches, mightn't there? I'm trying to look on the positive side."
