EastEnders: Peter's drug secret exposed to 6.7m on Tuesday

EastEnders topped Tuesday evening's soap ratings (December 2) with a dramatic moment for the Beale family, overnight figures show.
6.72m (31.8%) watched at 7.30pm on BBC One as an angry outburst from Ian led to the shock revelation that Lucy had asked Peter for drugs before her death. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 361k (2.5%) at 10.30pm.
Emmerdale attracted 6m (29.9%) at 7pm on ITV and 119k (0.5%) on +1 as Cain uncovered Kirin's guilt. Facing Holby City, an extra Emmerdale episode later claimed 5.18m (23.1%) at 8pm and 210k (0.8%) on +1.
Holby City dipped due to the Emmerdale clash, bringing in 3.42m (14.7%) at 8pm on BBC One as Jesse had to face the consequences of his actions.
Hollyoaks interested 976k (5.1%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Celine became concerned over Jason. E4's first look topped the day's multichannel ratings with 772k (3.8%) at 7pm and 115k (0.5%) on +1.
Neighbours appealed to 611k (8.4%) at 1.45pm and 798k (5.1%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5 with Paul's latest meddling in Terese's marital problems.
Home and Away managed 260k (3.7%) at 1.15pm and 553k (3.1%) at 6pm on Channel 5, while 5*'s first look had 454k (2.4%) at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, BBC One's Doctors continued with 1.5m (20.7%) at 1.45pm.
