Description
Download the official Mashable app, which alerts you whenever a story is starting to go viral, so that you'll know what everyone's talking about, before they're talking about it.
This beautiful design adapts responsively to your device's size, from a phone to a mini to a full-size tablet, so you can be assured the app will look great on whatever you're carrying.
And this app is smart: When you finish reading an article, the homepage is dynamically stitched in below the article. You don't need to keep clicking on the navigation to get around the app — it just knows where you'll want to go next and opens up a path for you. We know you expect this from us, and that's what we aimed to deliver.
When our Mashable Velocity algorithm predicts a story is about to go viral, we'll send an Android notification to you. But we have to warn you, it's pretty addicting. Just promise us that you'll read the one story that you're notified about, and then you'll actually get back to work.
You must install this app before submitting a review.

Fails to load Will open the first article correctly, but after that nothing loads except for the title

Annoying Needs to be able to go back to where I last scrolled after reading the article! It's so annoying to scroll back down pass articles u hav alrdy seen

Beautiful and smooth. A beautifully designed app by Code & Theory, the official Mashable app for Android is very responsive and simple, with a smooth and unobtrusive user interface. The loading times of articles are a bit of an issue. Otherwise, a very good effort.
Matt Griffith
Blank screen I receive a blank screen on almost every article I try to read. This app is a pathetic attempt by a programmer for news resource that I believe is very good, even great. Should give a one star but I've been a fan of mashable for years now so personal bias gives the extra star.
Alex Chan
Great idea, very poor execution Non-intuitive interface, especially the homescreen. After going into an article and then returning to the homescreen, it scrolls all the way back to the top, requiring the user to scroll through dozens of articles to continue browsing. Article comments fail to load properly and are cut off with no way of expansion. Frustrating to use app.

Needs tweeks Love this app just wish it wouldn't take me back to the top of the feed after reading an article.

buggy snd content rarely updates Such a great source of information but the app always has some type of bug. From not updating, to random errors/crashes and now when you go back after reading an article you have to scroll down to where you were again. There is no hope for it anymore

Should be fixed now! 50-50 experience Content representation wise, the app is great.... But when it comes to accessibility, they need to improve.. For news apps, most essential feature is to be able to go back to the same place in all news from where you opened up the last news. This app takes user back @ the start of news and eventually makes the experience boring to scroll down again and again... People will mostly end up reading news headlines only !
Highly recommended. You should ignore the 3.9 rating, this app is fantastic, it gives you a feed of articles about events in the news, social media, and more! I ignored the 3.9 rating and got this app because I knew it would be fantastic, and it is. This is perhaps one of my top rated apps EVER. I could go talking forever about how great this is, so thanks mashable!
Used to love it Update:I have officially given up on this app. Don't understand how dev can't seem to fix a simple problem that annoys everyone who uses it. Email me when it's fixed and I'll consider coming back. I love the flow and UI; however, I HATE the fact that when I hit the back button, it takes me to the top of the list of stories instead of where I left off. Others have expressed same frustration. Why can developers fix this? I'm giving this app two more weeks. If this isn't fixed, app will be uninstalled.
Does its jobs... Not always though Minimalistic display makes it easier to go through the contents and articles. No show offs and flares. Really like the easy categorization. Only main downside is that it doesnt load the articles almost 30% of the times and only loads it on restarting the app. And this happens after an update that specifically addresses this problem. Requires furthur fixing
Back and forth navigation is buggy on my note 2 Open app, scroll through posts, select one, touch back key and the app shows all the post from the start instead of the one i just started reading. That becomes annoying if you were reading 20th post and again have to scroll down to continue browsing. Please fix this.
Stories not loading I've been using this app for a long time, and they don't seem to be fixing the problems. This is a well designed app...when it works. I am frequently finding that after reading a few stories it will cease to load any more of them. The app also crashes regularly. Previous versions of the app have had even worse problems...for a tech blog, they sure can't seem to get it right. I'm running 4.4 on a gs5.
