Diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (Nov. 1970) at age ten, I have survived many years with this and show little negative impact on my body. All my limbs are intact and my vision is normal for my age. The Dr's I have seen are amazed at my medical condition. I attribute this to exercise, coupled of course with a good diet and proper rest.
Neuropathy is a condition that has long plagued the diabetic. I wish to present a theory to help others avoid this condition. Again I point to exercise. It is my theory that as the organisms of this world rely on oxygen for life, we, and the components of our body, rely on oxygen for growth, health and life. If the blood where infused with fresh oxygen by way of elevated heart rate through proper exercise the nerves that degrade without this would be replenished and kept healthy for the individual.
I would like to see a research study on this theory as I believe it is the reason my registered neuropathy level is at the low level that it is.
