What This Is
A POC or "Person of Color" is a catch-all acronym for racial minorities.
The purpose of this sub is to discuss games and gaming culture, contextualized by POC gamers' experiences and perspectives. POCs and non-POCs welcome here. Due to the possibly controversial nature of this sub, this will be heavily moderated.
This more /r/truegaming than in the vein of /r/girlgamers and /r/gaymers. That said we're currently working on a sub appropriate for more cultural / meme style / etc discussion.
For examples of good content, please see our compilation of recommended reading.
Moderation Policy
The purpose of this sub is discussion. You do not need to agree with its tenets to participate, however rudeness and racial slurs (which are not quotes) will not be tolerated. Further, posting in bad faith can lead to greater scrutiny, especially if posting doesn't show a willingness to listen. Continuous posting in this manner can lead to a ban.
Consistent rudeness, use of racial slurs, posting in bad faith, and an inability to rationally discuss can and will result in a ban
Since this is a new sub, we'll be forming these policies as it goes on.
