JAKARTA, 10 February 2015 - H.E. Ambassador Chombhala Chareonying, the new Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Thailand to ASEAN, presented his Letter of Credence to H.E. Le Luong Minh, Secretary-General of ASEAN, in a ceremony held at the ASEAN Secretariat today.

The 22nd Meeting of the ASEAN-EU Joint Cooperation Committee (JCC) was held on 5 February 2015 in Jakarta.

The meeting confirmed the excellent momentum in strengthening ASEAN-EU relations, as highlighted by the successful ASEAN-EU Ministerial Meeting held in Brussels on 23 July 2014 and the informal ASEAN-EU Leaders' meeting held in Milan in October 2014.

JAKARTA, 27 January 2015 - "Recognising that natural disasters cut across boundaries, strengthening the relationship between Southeast Asia and South Asia is an urgent imperative," H.E. JAKARTA, 21 January 2015 – A “Workshop on Competition Issues in Manufacturer-Distributor-Retailer Restraints: A Comparison and Hypothetical Application of Different Approaches in ASEAN Member States (AMS) and the United States” was convened from 19-21 January 2015 in the Indonesian capital. The workshop aimed at understanding the different statutes addressing vertical agreements amongst AMS and the US, as well as to identify a common approach to investigate vertical agreement cases.

I Gusti Agung Wesaka Puja, the Director General for ASEAN Cooperation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia, today deposited Indonesia’s Instrument of Ratification of the ASEAN Agreement on Transboundary Haze Pollution with H.E. KUALA LUMPUR, 13 January 2015 – As ASEAN’s current Tourism Strategic Plan (ATSP) 2011-2015 ends this year, ASEAN National Tourism Organisations (NTOs) and the ASEAN Secretariat supported by tourism experts are working closely together to develop the new ATSP. This signals a strong collaboration among Member States in developing tourism in the region.
