Building Stronger Regions, Stronger Local Governments
This paper, prepared by Regional Economic Development Associates, is a product of a series of nation wide Local Government natural resource management (NRM) forums funded by the Australian Government through the Natural Heritage Trust (NHT) and delivered in partnership with state/territory Local Government Associations. The Forums discussed issues associated with increased involvement of Local Government in NRM and the paper recommends a number of measures to progress its involvement.
