Master of the Rolls

Master of the Rolls Lord Dyson is the head of civil judiciary in England and Wales, holding the second most senior judicial position in England and Wales after the Lord Chief Justice. Beginning practising as a barrister in 1968, Dyson became a QC in 1982 and from 1998 to 2001 was the presiding judge of the technology and construction court. In 2001 Dyson was appointed to the Court of Appeal and became a Supreme Court justice in April 2010.
