Royal Highland Show

18.06.15 - 21.06.15
Ingliston, Edinburgh

Spread over four days in mid-June at the Royal Highland Showground in Edinburgh, the Royal Highland Show features around 2,000 livestock exhibitors and competitors appearing from all over the British Isles. As well as beef and dairy cattle, there's almost every sheep breed native to the UK, dairy goats, and horses and ponies, including the three main native equine breeds.

There are many other competition classes, including Farriery, Honey-making, Sheep-Shearing, Cheese and Butter Making. There are even Ice Cream-making competitions, where experts judge vanilla, chocolate and strawberry flavours.

Show Jumping competitions at the show attract many famous names from across the UK.

At the Rural Crafts Marquee, you can learn about bagpipe making, saddlery and willow weaving.
