Royal Welsh Show

20.07.15 - 23.07.15
Builth Wells, Wales

In late July comes the Royal Welsh Show, held at the Royal Welsh Showground at Llanelwedd, just north of Builth Wells in mid-Wales. The Royal Welsh Show is the biggest agricultural show in Europe, transforming this sleepy market town on the River Wye into a bustling visitor attraction.

It celebrates local farming and rural life over four days with a variety of events, including carriage driving, mounted games, a parade of hounds, trotting, livestock competitions (with categories that include hunters, shires, agricultural heavy horses, beef and dairy cattle and sheep) and a display of vintage machinery.

The Royal Welsh Show strengthened its claim to be the biggest and best-attended event of its kind in Europe when a record 241,099 visitors including over 777 from 39 countries around the world, passed through the gates of the showground at Llanelwedd, Builth Wells.
