Russell Brand’s anti-establishment book Revolution was one of the big bestsellers of 2014, and few people have done more to foster the current climate of hostility to established political elites. Kicked out of drama school for his destructive behaviour and saddled with a drug addiction soon after, the loud-mouthed Brand has nevertheless landed a successful career as a comedian turned film and TV personality turned author. Whether he is considered a revolutionary or just an irritation, Brand’s influence over the masses is a force that cannot be denied.
