World Ski and Snowboard Championship

10.04.15 - 19.04.15
Whistler, British Columbia, Canada

For ten days this northern ski resort sparkles with a joyous celebration of sport, music and art.

Highlights of the TELUS World Ski and Snowboard Championship include the World Snowboarding Open, a Superpipe and Slopestyle competition and a Big Air jump-off. The World Skiing Invitation attracts the world's best free skiers, whose aerial displays amaze spectators. The Atomic Skiercross is an exhilarating, terrifying race in which four competitors hurtle down a hazardous course.

All this and evening entertainment too. There is a full programme of music, with late-afternoon gigs and concerts on an open-air stage, and Whistler's nightclubs staying open until the small hours.

When you tire of the snow-related antics, you can enjoy art exhibitions, fashion shows, and the famous filmmaker showdown (a headlong competition to make a short film in 72 hours within 100 km of Whistler). Or there's always the famous Whistler Dogfest, a canine beauty parade and festival favourite.

Or you can just chill out and enjoy the beauty of the Canadian Rockies, which proudly boast some of the best skiing conditions in the world.
