The first UK vlogger to reach one million subscribers back in 2011, Charlie McDonnell describes himself as a ‘professional internet human.’ His YouTube channel, charlieissocoollike, was founded in 2007 when McDonnell was avoiding revising for his exams, and since then it has continued to grow, recently reaching almost 2.5 million subscribers. His output has broadened to include short narrative films, and he is also a successful musician whose debut album This is Me was released in 2010. In 2013 he announced he would be making five short films as well as a feature film, and he has made numerous television appearances on programmes including BBC Breakfast and The Gadget Show.
