February 2016London Fashion Week
Organised by the British Fashion Council, London Fashion Week ranks along New York, Paris and Milan as a major fashion showcase event. It takes place twice a year, in February and September, and is attended by over 5,000 press and buyers. A magnet for the fashion cognoscenti, it is estimated that over £100 million of orders are placed during LFW.
Located at Somerset House in central London, a large marquee is erected in the central courtyard for a series of 60 catwalk shows. Over 150 designers exhibit ready-to-wear collections within Somerset House itself.
Each season, the British Fashion Council releases a limited number of Corporate and VIP Hospitality packages to London Fashion Week - the shop window of fashion. The package enables visitors to access catwalk shows, preview collections, and dine in style.
Since 2014 London Fashion Week has led the way in digital innovation, offering all designers the opportunity to stream their shows live on the internet.
