Appointed chief marketing officer at the drinks giant Diageo in July 2013, Syl Saller is tasked with taking the brand’s marketing strategy to the next level. As the world’s leading premium drinks business, Diageo boasts brands including Smirnoff, Baileys, Tanqueray, Captain Morgan, and Guinness, and Saller has been credited with Diageo’s most successful new brand launch. Saller has over 20 years of marketing and brand experience on an international level, which makes her a driving force in the industry. She previously held the role of global innovation director at the company, meaning she held responsibility for all new product development and launch programmes. Saller joined Diageo in 1999 from Allied Domecq Retail, prior to which she worked at Gillette and the Holson Burnes Group.
