Formula 1 Season
November 2015Brazilian Grand Prix
Situated within Interlagos, a suburb of São Paulo, the home town of the great Brazilian racing hero Ayrton Senna, the Autodromo José Carlos Pace has hosted the Brazilian Grand Prix since 1990.
The original track was built in 1940, making it one of the oldest Grand Prix circuits still in use. Situated near to São Paolo, it draws huge crowds - it is located with a natural amphitheatre so all-round visibility is very good.
It is a technically difficult circuit for drivers, and is very bumpy in parts, which challenges both suspension and transmission. It follows the undulations of the hilly terrain, which also makes it harder to drive.
