Max Lousada

Chief Executive, Warner Music UK

Since being named the new chairman of the BRITs Committee in June 2014, Max Lousada will be the main mover behind 2015’s most influential UK music awards. As the current CEO of Warner Music UK, Lousada has been one of the major players in the industry for the last few years. After leaving university and beginning his own record distribution company, he joined New York-based hip hop label Rawkus before becoming Head of A&R at Mushroom Records, where he was instrumental in the development of acts including Zero 7, Muse, Ash and Paul Oakenfold. When the label was bought by Warner in 2004 he joined Atlantic Records UK, later being promoted to president and then chairman in 2009. As chairman and CEO of Warner Music UK, his acts include Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Muse and Clean Bandit.
