Engineering & Technology
Members of the Debrett’s list have engineered ways to broadcast life-saving information, crafted pioneering space technology and conducted critical research into computer science. With a number of challenges currently facing the engineering sector, these revelations are even more momentous. A heavily male-dominated trade, only around 6% of the engineering workforce in the UK is female. The Debrett’s list hopes to represent all of the engineering industry. Companies born and bred in the UK, large and small, are standing on a global stage providing innovative products and services in a world where always-on and the network dominate. Debrett’s has selected individuals who are the key policy makers, those driving investment in the small and the large, and – most of all – the innovators and entrepreneurs who are, and always will be, at the heart of the UK technology sector.
