Male Dress Codes

morning trousers

Traditional morning dress remain the accepted formal male dress code for British weddings; day/lounge suits are a popular alternative to morning dress.

The members of the groom's party (the groom, best man and ushers), and the fathers of the bride and groom, usually follow the chosen dress code.

A more modern dress code, most normally chosen for evening receptions, is black tie or, more unusually, white tie. Obviously there are also variations in the case of traditional Scottish or military weddings.
