Steven Moffat

Writer and Producer

Steven Moffat is probably most well-known and most loved for his work as writer and producer of series Doctor Who and Sherlock. Moffat’s television work began on teen drama series Press Gang, followed by sitcoms Joking Apart and Coupling, developed with the help of his wife, respected producer Sue Vertue. Moffat replaced Russell T Davies as showrunner, lead writer and executive producer of Doctor Who in 2010, and later that year also created the sensation starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Sherlock. He has won numerous awards for his work, including an Emmy, five BAFTA Awards and four Hugo Awards.
