Richard Mollet

CEO, Publishers Association

As chief executive of the Publishers Association, Richard Mollet is the voice of publishing in the UK and a staunch defender of, among other things, the principle of copyright on which the literary industry depends. Mollet became chief executive in 2010 and was charged with leading political engagement with government and parliament at both a national and EU level. He was previously director of public affairs at BPI where he was involved with the Digital Economy Act and also with larger debates surrounding the value of copyright and the creative industries. Mollet came from a background in political communications consultancy after studying PPE at Worcester College, Oxford.
