Kelly Gallagher, MBE (and Charlotte Evans)

Alpine Skier and Guide

The first athlete from Northern Ireland ever to compete in the Winter Paralympics, the partially-sighted Gallagher stunned the world with her fearlessness when, guided by the equally impressive Charlotte Evans, she skied to gold in the Women’s Super-G at Sochi 2014. Gallagher became the first British competitor on the slopes of either the Olympic or Paralympic Winter Games to finish first.
