Mollie Dent-Brocklehurst

FOUNDER, PACE GALLERY LONDON

Mollie Dent-Brocklehurst is the founder and current director of the London incarnation of New York’s famous Pace Gallery, as well as co-owner of the historic Sudeley Castle in Gloucestershire where she grew up. After studying semiotics at Brown University in the United States, Dent-Brocklehurst set up a subsequently unsuccessful photography business before getting a job as a cataloguer at Sotheby’s. Despite not knowing a lot about art, she quickly developed an eye for it, going on to work for Gagosian Galleries in New York and London for the next ten years. In 2008 she joined Roman Abramovich and Dasha Zhukova’s The Garage in Moscow as international director and programme co-ordinator before returning to London in 2010 to establish the London Pace Gallery. Bringing her talent for curation to her family home, Dent-Brocklehurst also holds avant-garde art and sculpture exhibitions at the imposing Sudeley Castle itself.
