Professor Sonia Blandford

Founder and CEO, ACHIEVEMENT FOR All 3As

One of the UK’s leading practitioners of education within the charity and public sectors, Professor Sonia Blandford is the founder and CEO of national charity Achievement for All 3As which aims to transform the lives of disadvantaged children and young people by raising educational aspirations, access and achievement. Professor Blandford began her career teaching music before working her way through various senior and leadership positions in numerous schools. She has held the roles of pro-vice chancellor and dean at Canterbury Christ Church University, is a senior research fellow at the University of Oxford and is currently Professor of Education and Social Enterprise at the London Centre for Leadership in Learning at UCL’s Institute of Education. She is also an adviser to the UK government and European Commission, and has been actively involved in establishing and developing seven educational charities.
