Asif Khan

architect and designer

One of Asif Khan’s most striking works was his extraordinary ‘MegaFaces’ installation at the Winter Olympics in Sochi, which is still making waves even now. Born in South London to parents from Pakistan and Tanzania, Asif Khan studied at the Bartlett School at University College London, graduating as the best student in the faculty before going on to further study at the Architectural Association on a full scholarship. He set up his own architecture and design practice in 2007 and has since won numerous awards for his designs. Khan’s projects include the ‘Parhelia’ installation for Swarovski at Design Miami and ‘Radiant Lines’ for Melbourne’s The Light in Winter festival last year. He is the first architect to be chosen for the Designers in Residence Programme at the Design Museum London and has been shortlisted to build Helsinki’s new Guggenheim Gallery.
