Professor Martyn Harrow

CEO, Jisc

As CEO at Jisc, the former Joint Information Systems Committee, Professor Martyn Harrow heads up the UK’s largest support body to post-16 and higher education in information and communications technology. After studying Mathematics and Computing at the University of Bath, Harrow worked for 12 years at Avon County Council, where he swiftly took on a senior role before going on to work in computer technology for numerous international companies as head or a chief technology adviser. Before Jisc, he was Director of Information Services at Cardiff University, and was also a member of the university board. As CEO, Harrow has led Jisc through an exciting time of restructuring and transition.
