March 2015TEFAF Maastricht
Bringing together 275 of the world’s most high profile art dealers, this leading art fair is a wonderful opportunity to buy from a range of 30,000 art and antiques, from Old Masters and antiques to contemporary art and jewellery.
Every dealer that trades at Maastricht is rigorously vetted. A panel of 175 experts is responsible for examining each exhibit, and assessing its quality, authenticity and condition.
Maastricht dates back to 1975, when it was founded as a bi-annual fine art fair, with just 28 international exhibitors. In 1994 the fair hosted ‘Treasures from The Hermitage St Petersburg’. Visitor numbers exceeded 60,000. In 1996 the fair was re-named TEFAF Maastricht and Rembrandt’s Portrait of a Young Man was sold $4.8 million dollars.
Maastricht Exhibition and Conference Centre (MECC) is easily accessible by road and rail. The well-appointed Conference Centre boasts a host of first-class restaurants, ranging from the elegant La Concorde restaurant to an array of cafés, brasseries and champagne bars.
