Tony Blair

Former Prime Minister

As with most heads of state, at one time or another Tony Blair has been an influential political player in simultaneously waging wars and preserving peace around the world. With his premiership punctuated by the conflict in Northern Ireland and the controversial invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan, Blair had an undeniable influence on the stability of international relations over the years, the effects of which still resonate today. Since leaving Number 10, Blair has remained active in public life and was appointed the official Envoy of the Quartet of the Middle East the day he left Downing Street. Blair now represents the European Union, the US, the UN and Russia as he works to prepare the Palestinians for statehood as part of the international community’s ongoing endeavours to secure peace in the region.
