Sara Khan

Co-founder, Inspire

Sara Khan, the director and co-founder of counter-extremism group Inspire, has for over 20 years actively campaigned for women’s rights within Muslim communities as she seeks to address inequalities facing them. In September 2014, Inspire organised the London march which brought Muslim women together to take a peaceful stand against the brutality of Islamic State. As a well- cited authority, Khan has been called upon by the government to share her expertise in tackling extremism, and has appeared on the likes of Sky News, Channel 4 News, ITV News, BBC Radio 4’s Today programme and BBC Woman’s Hour
