Ewan Venters

Chief Executive, Fortnum & Mason

At the age of 11, Ewan Venters started his own bakery business, delivering cakes and bread as an early entrepreneurial endeavour. Embarking on a graduate scheme with Sainsbury’s at the age of 16, Venters subsequently worked for both Brakes and Selfridges before making the successful move to Fortnum & Mason in 2012. With Venters as chief executive of the over 300-year-old brand, the company has enjoyed record annual profits. Having launched an ambitious strategy of growth, opening stores in the UK and internationally, designed to expand Fortnum’s from its Piccadilly roots, the last few years have been a landmark for the brand and for Venters.
