Creative Director, Céline

Phoebe Philo has blossomed as creative director and board member of French fashion house Céline. Having scored her first seat in fashion as Stella McCartney’s first assistant at Chloé, she was appointed to the position at Céline in 2008. According to Vogue’s Sarah Mower, Philo’s fashion is ‘the work of a woman working for women.’ Her collections at Céline have set the pace for modern fashion, and having been named British Designer of the Year on two occasions, she has been described as ‘the most influential British female designer of the last decade’. She was awarded an OBE in 2014.
