Jayne-Anne Gadhia

CEO, Virgin Money

A key player in the financial industry, Jayne-Anne Gadhia ascribes her confidence to attending a boys’ school aged 13. Appointed the CEO of challenger bank Virgin Money in 2007, Richard Branson subsequently chose her to lead the Northern Rock takeover bid, and in 2012, she secured the £747 million takeover. Whilst Virgin Money may not appear the most high profile financial force in the industry, Gadhia has nevertheless built the bank to rival some of the UK’s largest lenders.
