The beginning of August marks the new polo season at Deauville polo club. This historic club, founded in 1907, located just 10 minutes away from the Normandy beaches, is a magnet for polo-lovers, attracting over 10,000 visitors.
Players from around the globe congregate at Deauville for the ‘Coupe du Jour’. There most prestigious trophies are the Bronze Cup, Silver Cup and Gold Cup. The Gold Cup, which dates back to 1950 is the only French tournament that attracts living legends of polo from all over the world.
Access to matches is free during the week, and just 10 euros at weekends (20 euros for finals)
