Sir Michael Rake

Chairman, BT Group

Not only is Sir Mike Rake chairman of BT Group, but he is also deputy chairman of Barclays, a director of McGraw Hill Financial and Chairman of Majid Al Futtaim Holdings. He is also president of the Confederation of British Industry and a member of the Prime Minister’s Business Advisory Group. Sir Michael spent over 30 years with KPMG where he was a senior partner of the UK firm and chairman of KPMG International, and has a great deal of financial experience across Europe and the Middle East. He was previously chairman of the UK Commission for Employment and Skills, chairman of Business in the Community and chairman of easyJet. In 2013 he received the Channing Award for Corporate Citizen and was voted the FTSE 100 non-executive director of the year.
